MARCH 27-29 3 DAYS/ 2 NIGHTS
ACCOMMODATIONS AT NEW GAYLORD NATIONAL
Last July we stayed at brand new Gaylord National Hotel, built by the folks who built Opryland hotel in Nashville, Tennessee and were we impressed! This gorgeous facility has a four-story glass wall looking out at the Washington National Harbor. In addition to the five restaurants, world class shopping, cocktails lounges, indoor pool and beautiful lobby décor, the beds are among the most comfortable you will ever use! The area has it’s very own new exit from the highway and the neighborhood is filled with shopping, dining, nightlife and outdoor sculpture, including “The Awakening”, moved here from it’s long time home at Haine’s Point. This will be our home base as we enjoy the cherry blossoms in downtown DC, tour many of the traditional sights of the city, including the newly renovated American History Museum of the Smithsonian, and enjoy a Sunday brunch cruise with entertainment on board the Spirit of Washington on the Potomac. We’ll also have a chance to use the water taxi to travel across to King Street in historic Alexandria to explore the specialty and antique shops there. Join us for this new, deluxe, spring adventure on the Potomac!
