The American Southwest is one of our National Treasures by itself and is only enhanced with its world-famous fantastic festival, the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta! The sight of over 700 balloons rising in the morning light with the Rocky Mountains, as a backdrop is one you will remember for the rest of your life. Our tour will begin with an overnight stop in Brentwood, Tennessee, before traveling on to Little Rock, AR for our second night and a chance to visit the impressive Bill Clinton Presidential Library. Regardless of your politics, it is an interesting way to spend an afternoon. Moving further into the true Southwest, we’ll arrive in Albuquerque for a three-night stay at our hotel within walking distance of the famous Plaza in Old Town Albuquerque for a chance to experience the cuisine and browse through the turquoise and other truly western souvenirs. NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA by AIR
OCTOBER 19-24 6 DAYS/5 NIGHTS
We flew the tour into the Big Easy last year and it was such a success that we have decided to try it again. Please don’t delay, as we will book your air flight as you book with us. We’ll check into our hotel on the fringe of the FRENCH QUARTER on Sunday for a five-night stay. Throughout our tour, one evening meal is included in New Orleans in the Quarter as well as a brunch at THE COURT OF TWO SISTERS. This will be one of the most memorable meals of your life, highlighted by the strolling Jazz Trio. A guided tour of the city on board Gray Line will be included and one morning a bus will pick you up for a morning “on the bayou” on a guided boat tour of the swamps. The lovely hanging moss and the mystique of the swampland are equaled only by the beauty of the wildlife visible on this tour guided by a Cajun Creole. An included lunch will follow before we return to enjoy more of the delights of life in the French Quarter. The evening will be free to catch some jazz at one of the many clubs or perhaps the lively music at world famous Pat O'Brien's Piano Bar or stroll over to try your luck at Harrah’s Casino. Throughout our stay you will have leisure time to experience the street performances and antique shopping on Royal Street. The Aquarium, Imax Theater and Zoo are available to you as is a cruise on the Mississippi on the Natchez. There are museums and historical tours galore as well as a Mardi Gras Museum open for your viewing pleasure.
