This should be a perfect weekend in the Windy City as we enjoy the autumn breeze from Lake Michigan. We’ll be staying in a downtown hotel near the Magnificent Mile and its shopping delights. While in town, following an included dinner, our tour will take us to the Sears Tower to ascend to the top of our nations tallest building. Saturday morning it’s all aboard for a tour of the city on the Chicago River and on Lake Michigan, followed by a free afternoon and evening to enjoy any of the museums, shopping or to take in a show. Sunday we will spend time on Navy Pier to browse and dine before departure.

MURDER MYSTERY TRAIN & CABOOSE MOTEL

Our tour departs mid morning arriving in Franklin, PA, to explore DeBences Music Museum. You will be entertained with this rare collection of music boxes, player pianos, calliopes and other music related antiques during our visit. Time is allowed in this charming town for lunch and shopping on your own. We arrive in Titusville for an afternoon check-in to our rooms at The Caboose Motel. You will be sleeping in real train cars turned into a motel, complete with cable T.V., telephones, brass beds and full luxury baths. This evening we enjoy a wine and cheese reception before our train departs from the Perry Street Station in Titusville, PA. All aboard the Titusville Railroad for “Murder Mystery Evening”. The actors will join the guests onboard the train for a delightful evening of entertainment. Dinner is served at the Perry Street Station at 9:00P.M. Our evening concludes about 10:30P.M. The next day it’s ok to sleep in a little before departing for the beautiful Cross Creek Resort for a delicious brunch. The Terrace Dining Room offers a spectacular view of the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. At the Glass Blowing Center (a big hit last year!) you will see a demonstration of molten glass being formed into intricate sculptures.

Today we depart for Williamsburg, VA to experience history, relaxation and fun. Our first evening dinner is included at Shield’s Tavern before checking into our hotel for the next two nights. Step back in time to the 18th century in Colonial Williamsburg. You have all day to visit the historic homes, gardens, museums and historic trade buildings. Admission is included to the Governor’s Mansion. We depart the next day for the beautiful Natural Bridge. A stop off at Walton’s Mountain to see the home of John Boy will be made along the way. Traditional Southern fare will be offered by servers in period attire at historic Michie Tavern est. 1784, included. The Natural Bridge of Virginia is one of the ancient natural wonder of the world and originally owned by Thomas Jefferson. Check into the Natural Bridge Hotel and enjoy dinner, included, in their dining room. This evening we experience the “Drama of Creation”, a moving sound and light show at the bridge. A daytime visit to the bridge and time at the Natural Bridge Wax Museum, which offers a three dimensional trip through history, will be made before heading home. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride home taking in all the spectacular scenery along the 105-mile ridge-top parkway, the Skyline Drive.
