Join us for this celebration of Halloween throughout the southeast and enjoy the wonderful autumn weather. Our first night’s stay will be in the Louisville, KY area where we will have dinner and see the annual Jack O Lantern Spectacular, a display set to music with over 5000 fantastically carved pumpkins. Our next morning, we will set our sights on the Atlanta, GA area to Stone Mountain National Park, where we will overnight and experience their annual Pumpkin Festival where you can play by day and glow by night as you see hundreds of Jack O’ Lanterns and the Party Parade ending with a fireworks display!! Even with all this, the fun is just beginning as we travel further south to New Orleans, LAjust in time for the annual Krewe of Boo fabulous Halloween Paradecomplete with bands, dancing troupes, full sized floats and much more. Catch some unique Halloween throws to take home, and feel free to come in costume if you wish. Our hotel for the next three nights is easy walking distance to the French Quarter. Our first full day in New Orleans will include a city tour with a visit to one of the famous Cities of the Dead Cemeteries and a chance to see some of the fabulous mansions all decorated for Halloween. With time for lunch and some browsing at the French Market, we will visit the World War II Museum, hailed as one of the top three museums in the world, featuring the Tom Hanks’ narrated film, “Beyond All Boundaries’”. Dinner will be included tonight. Our third day in the city will feature a morning tour of magnificent Houmas House Plantation with a chance to catch a glimpse of the mysterious little girl in the blue dress, before we enjoy lunch at Court of Two Sister’s courtyard, back in New Orleans. The remainder of your day is free to shop the French Marketor enjoy any of the spooky traditions such as a ghost walking tour, the Mortuary Haunted House, a Voodoo Shop or just to stroll the streets of the French Quarter and take in the historic ambience and street artists. The morning of the 25th will find us headed north for our overnight stay at Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, all decorated for the holiday in their Halloween finest. After a delicious breakfast buffet, we will head for home just in time to greet Trick-or-Treaters at home. There will be a lot of walking in this tour.
