Call to join us for a whole week at the beach!!   We’re moving up the boardwalk a bit to another upgrade, the Holiday Inn Express on the beach at 26th St.  A hot breakfast is included in the hotel lobby every morning!  We will make a stop at a local grocery store on the way into town so you can purchase your snacks and beverages.  All rooms have ocean front balconies, microwaves and refrigerators. It’s back to picturesque Lancaster, PA to see the latest blockbuster “Esther” based in the opulent Persian Empire, where her great beauty takes her from an ordinary life to the palace, where she becomes queen. After our lunch stop at Kitchen Kettle Village, we’ll see the afternoon show “Esther” at Sight & Sound Theater. After the show will be an Amish style feast and shopping at nearby Hershey Farms, followed by check in to The Country Inn of Lancaster. After breakfast on our second day we will head over to Mt Hope Mansion for a Victorian Tea. We will be greeted by Miss Daisy dressed in her Victorian finest upon entering the beautiful mansion. SEPTEMBER 18-21 - (4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS)

If you want to visit the hottest city in America, and stay at the best hotel there, then this is your tour!! Fabulous Gaylord Opryland will host us for this 3 night stay in Country Music’s showplace, Nashville, TN.  Our first day’s travel will take us to Gaylord Opryland where we will check in and have a chance to spend the evening exploring the fabulous gardens, dining at one of the multiple restaurants, shopping or just sitting back and enjoying the lap of luxury that is this hotel.  If you want to head downtown for some Honky Tonk action, there is a shuttle or public transportation easily obtainable.  Our first full day will include a special treat, a tour of RCA Studio B, Nashville’s oldest remaining recording studio where the likes of Waylon Jennings. Chet Atkins and Connie Francis first recorded.  After a tour we will gather round the mike with a sound engineer to make our own recording.  A tour of Nashville to include admission to the Ryman Auditorium will follow, with plenty of time for lunch and music on North Broadway, the Honky Tonk Highway, where countless stars have their clubs.  This evening we’ll travel to nearby Nashville Nightlife for dinner and a live country music show.  The following morning we’ll head back downtown for a tour of the Country Music Hall of Fame followed by more time for barbeque and music.  With a mid afternoon return to the hotel, this evening we will depart in time for dinner at a place of your choice in Opry Mills Mall before the highlight of the evening, the show at the Grand Ole Opry!!  After another great breakfast on Wednesday, we’ll set our sights north, but with a stop at Fourth Street Live in Louisville to get lunch at a place of your choice and perhaps sample some of their famous Bourbon!  What a rollicking good time!!!

GETTYSBURG, PA and WINCHESTER, VA Civil War History

SEPTEMBER 26-27 - (2 DAYS /1 NIGHT)

Anyone interested in Civil War history, or anyone who appreciates the beauty of America’s small towns will enjoy this tour.  Our first day takes us into the heart of historic Gettysburg, PA for lunch included at the historic Dobbin House.  Following lunch we will have some time to explore Gettysburg’s annual Outdoor Antique Show spread out on the streets of downtown.  Mid afternoon we will travel to the nearby Cyclorama and Civil War Museum where we will visit the battlefield with a step on guide on our motor coach.  Check in to the 1863 Inn in the heart of downtown will be early evening and you may enjoy the town, or opt to book on one of the many local ghost walking tours.  Day two, after the included breakfast, we will enjoy a guided walking tour of the Gettysburg National Cemetery.  Departure from here will find us in another town of Civil War importance, Winchester, VA, just in time to find a place for lunch in the historic district, filled with taverns from yesteryear.  After time for lunch we will stop at the visitor center for a film featuring an overview of Winchester’s Civil War involvement.  A visit to the Old Court House Museum will further enlighten us about this town that changed hands from Union to Confederate 72 times, including 13 times in one day!  Next a step on guide will take us to see several battle sights, Stonewall Cemetery and Stonewall Jackson’s headquarters.  Arrival back will be mid evening.  Winchester may surprise you!

We’ll travel to Springfield, MA for our first overnight stay. From here it’s a short jaunt to Boston with time at famed Quincy Market for lunch at a place of your choice, preceded by a city tour featuring the Boston Commons, The USS Constitution, “Old Ironsides” and much more.   Departing Boston, it is south to Plymouth, MA to see the Pilgrim Monument, Plymouth Rock, and the Mayflower II, the newly refurbished replica has returned in time for the 400th anniversary year of its sailing. Later we’ll enjoy an included dinner buffet at our beautiful hotel in Hyannis on Cape Cod.  Tomorrow will be filled with fun as we head out to the picturesque, off-beat beach town of Provincetown at the very tip of the Cape.  The highlight of your day in this charming seaside town is a ride out to the sea shore with Art’s Dunes Tours.  An included dinner awaits on our return to Hyannis.  We’ll be boarding the Hy-Line ferry on our fourth day to visit the playground of the wealthy and powerful, Martha’s Vineyard.  We’ll have time for a guided tour on their bus, lunch on your own and exploring the shops or museums as you wish in Oak’s Bluff and Edgartown.  The evening will be free.  While in Hyannis we’ll have a chance to see the Kennedy Memorial.  Home to the rich and famous, both now and in its storied past, Newport, Rhode Island awaits us.  Upon arrival we’ll tour The Breakers, the Vanderbilt Mansion from American’s gilded age, have time to explore the town and grab a bite of lunch.  It’s on to Connecticut to overnight at the newest, most beautiful casino in Connecticut, Mohegan Sun. Vintage diesel-powered locomotives climb along the cascading Shavers Fork of the Cheat River to the High Falls of Cheat. This is the perfect time of year to visit the scenic Hudson Valley, just north of New York City, but a different world. Every group has loved this autumn extravaganza. We’ll travel into Fishkill, NY to check into the Quality Inn for our two overnight stay.  Our first evening will include the highlight of the tour, The Great Jack O Lantern Blaze at historic Van Cortland Manor near Sleepy Hollow, NY. We depart this morning and head south; our first overnight is near Columbia, SC.   Travel this morning to Beaufort, SC where we will tour this unique small southern town including the Marine Corps base, Parris Island.   Traveling on to Savannah, GA we will stay for the next two nights right on the beach of Tybee Island.  Our stay in the area will include time to experience the famous cobblestone River Street, relive history on a guided city tour, dine at Paula Deen’s newest restaurant, Creekhouse,   and a dinner cruise aboard the Savannah River Queen.  A tour of the iconic Tybee Island Light Station and Museum is also included.  Day 3 we will board Amtrak’s Palmetto Express for a two hour train ride to Charleston, SC where our motor coach will be waiting.  Lunch and some shopping time are on your own at the City Market following the tour.  Before leaving the area we will visit   Boone Hall Plantation, one of America’s oldest working plantations. Boone Hall is not handicap accessible.  We begin our travels home with an overnight near Columbia, SC.   This is a truly elegant tour of some of the South’s most charming towns.
