THE POCONO’S / JIM THORPE, PA

Mt. Airy Casino Resort in the heart of the colorful Pocono Mountains will be our host for our two-night stay.  This has proven to be an enjoyable and scenic autumn tour.   Our first day, we’ll make a stop at the American Candle Store, chock full of virtually anything you could want.  In addition to the candles, there is a myriad of giftware, kitchenware, clothing, and even wine and ice cream!  Loads of fun!  After checking in, you will be free to enjoy your included buffet dinner at leisure, as well as slot machine cash should you wish to play.  Day two after our breakfast buffet, will find us in Jim Thorpe, PA, always listed as one of America’s most beautiful small towns.  Our day will begin with a narrated trolley tour through the town and through breathtaking Lehigh Gorge State Park.  With plenty of time to enjoy one of the many bistros for lunch and to explore the wonderful variety of small shops, late afternoon it’s all aboard the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway for yet another view of the beautiful gorge.  This evening you are free to enjoy the selection of dining at the hotel.  On our third morning, after our included breakfast buffet, we’ll head south to enjoy lunch included at one of Lancaster County’s sumptuous smorgasbords.   The fun is not quite over yet, as we make a quick stop at Hershey Chocolate World for the tour and shopping or just for ice cream if you wish!  The return will be mid evening.
