We depart very early morning and drive straight through to Myrtle Beach.  Yes, it is a long day, but the reward will be checking into an oceanfront efficiency room at the Dayton House Resort.  The amenities at the resort include indoor/ outdoor pools, saunas, Jacuzzis, Lazy River Tube Ride, fitness room, laundry, free wireless internet, Yella Umbrella poolside bar & grille and an oceanfront lawn stocked with over 70 yellow umbrellas, picnic tables and lounge chairs.  Every day a great Breakfast Buffet is included right across the street in the Rose Room. (Formerly John’s Restaurant) All rooms include a kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, stove, microwave, ironing boards, irons and safe.  The resort is within walking distance of shopping, dining and attractions.  The public transit bus, Coast RTA, stops right across the street and provides access to Broadway at the Beach, The Coastal Grand Mall, the boardwalk and more, as does The Trolley, which is free.   On the sixth day we travel home, arriving late in the evening.
