JULY 14–24 11 DAYS / 10 NIGHTSGet ready for one of our most spectacular adventures as we journey westward to experience the awe-inspiring national treasures of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado—along with iconic small-town charm, scenic railroads, cowboy history, and unforgettable natural wonders. This grand tour combines breathtaking scenery, fascinating attractions, and delicious regional dining for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our adventure begins on Tuesday, traveling west with rest stops along the way before settling in for our first overnight in the Janesville, WI area. Wednesday brings us into Mitchell, SD, where we’ll visit the famed Corn Palace, a one-of-a-kind landmark decorated each year with hundreds of thousands of ears of corn arranged into stunning murals. It celebrates South Dakota’s agricultural heritage and is a fun, colorful stop unlike anywhere else in the country, followed by a dinner included at the Depot Grill. On Thursday, we depart Mitchell, SD and take in the dramatic beauty of the Badlands Scenic Loop, offering magnificent views at every turn. We continue to the legendary Wall Drug, where you’ll have time for browsing and lunch on your own before traveling to Rapid City, SD for a two-night stay. This evening, enjoy an included Fort Hayes Chuckwagon Dinner Show, complete with great food and lively entertainment. Friday, July 17th takes us first to Bear Country USA, where wildlife roams throughout this drive-through park. Then it's on to Mount Rushmore, with time to explore and enjoy lunch on your own beneath the iconic faces of Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln. In the afternoon, we visit the striking Crazy Horse Memorial, followed by time in downtown Keystone for dinner on your own. Returning to Mount Rushmore in the evening, we gather once more for the night-time lighting ceremony and film presentation before heading back to the hotel. On Saturday, we depart for Cody, Wyoming, enjoying scenic stops along the way. This evening, experience an Old West classic with an included buffet dinner at the historic Irma Hotel, followed by the famous “gunfight” show on the porch before retiring to our accommodations. Day 6 – Sunday begins with our journey into the world’s first national park—Yellowstone. Marvel at geysers, waterfalls, wildlife, and some of the most stunning natural scenery on earth. Lunch is on your own in the park. We then continue to Jackson Hole, where you’ll have dinner on your own while exploring this vibrant western town, before heading on to our hotel in Pinedale, WY. On Monday, we load the coach and travel to downtown Laramie, WY, with time for lunch on your own, before checking into our Colorado hotel for a two-night stay. Enjoy an included dinner this evening. Tuesday takes us aboard the famed Georgetown Loop Scenic Railroad, offering beautiful mountain views and a relaxing ride. Enjoy cash back for lunch in this charming small town with wonderful local shops. Later, we travel to Boulder, CO for dinner and browsing on your own along vibrant Pearl Street, before returning to our hotel. Wednesday – Day 9, we depart for Kansas, where we enjoy an included lunch at the Welcome Home Café. Dinner is on your own this evening in Wamego, KS, a delightful Wizard of Oz–themed town. Overnight in Topeka, KS. On Thursday – Day 10, we visit the fascinating Steamship Arabia Museum, an incredible time capsule of pre-Civil War life recovered from the Missouri River. Lunch will be on your own at the lively City Market, filled with unique eateries and shops. After a rest stop, we overnight in Effingham, IL. Friday – Day 11 brings us closer to home with a fast-food stop for lunch on the road. Our farewell meal will be an included buffet dinner at Der Dutchman in Bellville, OH, the perfect end to an unforgettable western adventure.
