Join us for a beautiful spring getaway to our nation’s capital! This year, we’ll be staying in nearby Falls Church, VA, perfectly situated for exploring the sights of Washington, D.C. Whether the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin reach peak bloom or not, the city will be alive with color—magnolias, tulips, pansies, and more signaling the arrival of spring. Our first stop on Saturday will be Arlington National Cemetery, where you’ll have time to explore this hallowed and historic site. We’ll then continue into Washington, D.C. for visits to the World War II Memorial, Tidal Basin, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial. After a full day of sightseeing, we will travel to National Harbor, where you can enjoy dinner on your own among dozens of restaurants, shops, and waterfront views. On Sunday, we begin with visits to the Iwo Jima Memorial and the Air Force Memorial, followed by time at the Smithsonian Museum of your choice (Air and Space, Natural History or American History) for a personalized afternoon of exploration. Before heading home, we will drop off at Union Station for lunch on your own and make a final photo stop at the White House. Majority of this tour is walking so please be prepared with good walking shoes.
