STAY ON THE ISLAND!!
SEPTEMBER 13-15                                     3 DAYS/2 NIGHTS
 Our first day’s travel will take us north to beautiful Mackinaw City, MI, where we will board Shepler’s ferry for the short ride to the lovely historic Lakeview Hotel on Mackinac Island, which has just gone through a multi-million-dollar renovation, for the next two nights.  Dinner is on your own at one of the many nearby restaurants.  The second day we will board horse drawn carriages for a narrated tour around the island.   Lunch is included at the fabulous Grand Hotel.  The remainder of the day and evening are free to enjoy some of the activities around the island at your own pace.   You may wish to shop in the unique stores and boutiques, tour the Fort on the Island, rent bicycles, visit the Butterfly Conservatory, or enjoy the indoor pool at the hotel.  Do not forget to sample the famous Mackinac Island fudge.  You will be hooked!!  The way home will include a stop in Frankenmuth, MI, and a visit to Bronner’s Christmas Store.
