Join us as we celebrate two music-oriented cities in Tennessee!! Our first day’s travels will take us through Kentucky where we will make a brief stop at Jim Beam’s historic distillery for shopping (tasting if you wish) before we check in the fabulous Drury Inn in Bowling Green, KY. We should arrive for their famous kickback with dinner included and drinks for 50 cents each. Day two, after a full breakfast, will find us at Graceland, the historic complex where Elvis made his home. Here we will have the Elvis Experience to include a mansion tour, the Elvis Entertainment Museums, his private planes, and a voucher for lunch in the food court. Later this afternoon we’ll check into the Comfort Inn Downtown on the Mississippi River, a short trolley ride to Beale Street. This evening is yours to enjoy the music and barbeque. Next morning after breakfast included a step on guide will join us to take in the history of this beautiful southern city. We’ll see the Lorraine Hotel, where Dr Martin Luther King was assassinated and the famous St. Jude Children’s Hospital and many more interesting sights. Lunch will be with a voucher at the Pyramid, now huge Bass Pro Outdoor World and admission to the elevator with a view of the city and the river is included. After lunch we’ll tour Sun Studio where Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Roy Orbison and many more got their start. You can even stand at the same microphone they used!! Your evening is again free to take in the music scene on Beale Street. Our fourth day after breakfast, well travel over to Nashville and drop off downtown in time for lunch and an afternoon to visit as many Honky Tonks as you wish. There is free music here all day as the bands try and get the attention of record companies. If you prefer you can spend your time touring the Country Music Hall of Fame. Late afternoon we’ll travel out to Gaylord Opryland Hotel for our overnight. This hotel, with 18 acres under roof will fascinate you. Your evening is free to enjoy any of the restaurants located here and to take in the gardens, or even ride the flatboat, inside the hotel! After a buffet breakfast we’ll begin our journey north in the morning, stopping for an included lunch in Newport, KY at Hofbräuhaus. Arrival back will be mid evening.
